At Winterfold Candle Co, our candles are curated by the seasons, inspired by nature and designed to ground, cleanse and uplift the spirit.
Here are some recommendations for you to try to immerse yourself in the turn of the season:
the ineffable scent of petrichor

Blending earth, green and mineral notes with water, Petrichor evokes the ineffable scent of the earth after a downpour.
As spring showers bring renewal and growth, Petrichor grounds you in the turn of the season.
Did you know? Petrichor is made of two Greek words - 'petra' meaning stone and 'ichor', which means the sacred, golden liquid of the gods. As humans, we are extraordinarily sensitve to this fragrance, even more so than sharks scenting blood in the water!
the best candle for cleansing

Spring brings with it the need to cleanse. Throwing open windows to let the fresh air and birdsong in, recycling unwanted items and filling the house with a sense of lightness.
Kitchen Garden blends rosemary, lavender and thyme essential oils and is perfect for lighting in the kitchen. It feels clean, natural and brings positivity.
the best candle for feeling feeling calm

Quietude blends lavender and geranium essential oils. It is quietly soothing and gentle, combining rosy florals and woody notes.
Light for complete calm. It really works!
Pair with our organic Quietude handwash for a thoughtful gift for Mother's Day.
Try Quietude.
the best candle for a fresh start

Dawn Chorus is light, bright and fresh, combining white geranium and juniper.
It evokes that wonderful part of the day where everything is fresh, clean and possible.
Dawn Chorus is also often chosen by our wonderful customers as a gift as its scent is gentle but present.
Which candle would you choose to align with the season? Is there a scent you'd love to see us include in our collection?

On my birthday in early March I was given a beautiful present from a dear fried. Imagine the delight the remarkable scent of my Quietude candle gives me during a taxing series of radiotherapy- I have only taken the lid off the jar - its fragrance fills my studio. I take things slowly! I was generously given the hand and body wash too. I am transported to a gentle place of peace - a wonder.
I have enjoyed reading the full story on the website and feel lifted by the descriptions and methods explained there.
Thank you so much, a soothing and uplifting gift to everyone involved.
